New Zealanders are generous by nature and will want to assist with the response to the earthquake and tsunami which hit Samoa and parts of the wider Pacific region on 30 September 2009.
Many New Zealand based organisations will respond to the disaster. They will urgently need money for their work.
Several New Zealand based appeals have been established in response to the earthquake and tsunami, information on each of these is listed below.

Wanganui District Council have launched an appeal to help victims of the Samoa crisis. The official appeal day is October 16 2009, volunteers will be collecting from 10.00am - 3.00pm in malls and along Victoria Avenue in Wanganui.
