The survey Overseas Aid - Qualitative and Quantitative Study July 2007 provides an analysis of New Zealanders' knowledge of overseas aid issues and their attitudes towards our aid and development contributions.
This study used focus group question lines and telephone surveys and follows on from the 2004 study, and the overseas aid study, which was benchmark research carried out in 1999. A total of 1050 people took part in the research.
The Overseas Aid - Qualitative and Quantitative Study aims to help NZAID to: explore the level of knowledge and understanding that different New Zealand groups have about this country's overseas aid activities, and explore their attitudes towards overseas aid. It also aims to identify how information about overseas aid and development is accessed by New Zealanders in order to provide scope or direction for future communication approaches by NZAID.
